The Alumni Association of the Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis invites graduates & their guests to attend Alumni Reunions held annually on the first Saturday in August. This coming year we send Congratulations to the Class of 1966, their 50th!!!
This association was founded in 1905 by early alumnae of LSN; the spelling of this Latin feminine word was changed to "alumni" in the latter 1960's when the school began to admit and graduate male nurses.
Past names of LSN were: the Lutheran Medical Center School of Nursing; the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing; and, originally, the Lutheran Hospital Training School for Nurses, which was founded by Louise Krauss-Ament in 1898. Lutheran Hospital had been founded in 1858. Currently, the Lutheran School of Nursing can be reached on the Internet at www.nursingschoollmc.com or at 3547 S. Jefferson Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118 (314/577-5850).
A benefit of Alumni LSN membership is the Annual Bulletin, which has been in publication for eight decades; if you are a graduate of LSN but do not have current membership, we invite you to join.
Please note: Some of the Alumni LSN officers and committee chairs are retiring - new volunteers are needed to lead this association into the future. Please view the leader section and note which volunteer jobs are open. Thank you.
